In life, we all make promises

I promise I’ll wake up on time

I promise I’ll take the dogs out

I promise I’ll fix my room

But sometimes, what you promised can’t be done

You promised you were going to stay

You promised you weren’t going to do it

You promised you weren’t going to change

But promises don’t mean anything

Your promises never came true,

So why should others?
